inverted normals?

Hi everyone,

I'm at my wits' end here. :( so any advice will definitely help.

I got my hi res sculpt to bake as a normal map to my low res model, but now the issue seems to be that some normals on the hi res only are inverted. Enough of them that it would be a real pain in the butt to invert manually, but I can live with that. Conform Normals in Maya only fixed some but there are many around the mouth, eyes and fingers that are still "inverted". However, if I manually select the random invert's, and flip them to face the same as the rest, it gived me the double edged (when two poly's attach with opposite-facing normals?)!

Please help, I've been working on this for two weeks and I don't want all that time perfecting my sculpt to have been for nothing. I've never had this issue before. :(
