DodoMaster equivelant for polygons?

I just want to place a bunch of rocks over a landscape without having to point snap every single one and rotate it manually..

The landscape is divided into several layers of circles around the hero area, on each of which I'll be placing different levels of details of sizes of rocks.

You could try spPaint3D, which allows you to paint instances with random scale/rotation factors involved. It's very easy to use, I use it all the time for landscapes and instancing, placing rocks and plants. You can paint in hundreds or thousands of objects very quickly.

And the options:

One thing to keep in mind, if you do use it, is to keep grouping OFF in the options if spPaint starts bogging down, and then just group all your objects afterwards. It tries to group-then-ungroup-then-group-again constantly if you have grouping on, far as I can tell, and this bogs down the dependency graph.

Oh man, I wish I'd checked replies sooner! I've just spent the past few hours creating little volcano like bursts of particles emitted from sections of the terrain for instancing onto haha
Anyhow, as always, Infernal Darkness saves the day! Nice one matey, much appreciated =)
