3ds max cat multi segment forearm and ExposeTm
I have CAT rig with multisegment forearm (3 segments).
I would like to wire x rotation of middle segment to x rotation of another object (middle segment as master node). I try to use ExposeTm helper but with no luck. Is this even possible? Maybe subsegments don't expose its rotaional values to ExposeTm? ----------- sorry for my English |

I did a quick test and this worked fine for me.
I set up a limb with multiple segments in the forearm, created an Expose Transform Helper that exposed one of the middle segments and used its parent as a Local Reference Node. Whenever I rotated the hand, causing twisting, the Local Euler Angles updated accordingly in my Expose Transform. However, if I rotated the forearm segment directly on the X, it did not change the values of the Expose Transform. This is expected, since I wasn't changing the rotation of the segment RELATIVE to its parent. If this is what you're doing, you need to make sure that your rotational values are changing relative to the Local Reference Node. You may need to create a helper for your local reference node rather than using the parent. Hope this helps. |
