How to replace 2 different polygroups in an optimal way?

So I have this big doubt, and Im not sure how to approach it. Lets see :

I have this model, it has one big subtool (body) divided by different polygroups. They are all seamless, it has its own subdivisions and such.

The question is, I have two different torsos, the clean one (A) and the scarred one (B). Which is the best workflow if I want to switch between A and B?
I thought of duplicating the two bodies, but that doesn't look too optimal, specially only because a few scars on the chest.
Splitting the polygroups and making a separated subtool from the torso? (Seams will appear)

If its possible, I would like to avoid having to dynamesh/zremesh again the whole model.

Any ideas? Tips?

Switch meaning going back and forth from A to B?
Im not exactly sure what the question youre asking is.
But if the question above is the case you can try using morph target or layers.
