Vray won't render VolumeFog when the render camera is inside the container
I am completely new and fresh to the VFX inudstry. I studied architecture and after being in that industry realized that I always ended up modelling 3D environments and props. So now I am one of us!!! I love it and I can't stop!!
Anyway, currently working on a short movie in Maya (and Vray) I have come across a problem I just can't solve:
I have applied a shading group with VolumeFog to a meshand Vray just won't render the Fog when the render camera is inside the container. It's transparent.
When I use a more complex mesh, part of it shows:
What I did:
1. Create Mesh
2. Create Shading group with:
i. Surface material: VrayMtl (0% Opacity & 100% Refraction and Refraction IOR of 1 for good measure)
ii. Volume Material: VrayEnvironmentFog
3. Apply Shading group to mesh
(4. Add Sun and Sky)
5. Render with camera inside the mesh

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I heard that in mental ray you simpily have to go to mental ray > features > extra features > Auto Volumes. But this option doesn't exist in Vray.
