Character Animation in Cinema

Hi,

I made this animation completely in Cinema with a special character template. My intention was to test the combining of several motions with the NLA and it worked.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNYC...eature=youtu.be

At the beginning there are 2 Cmotions baked to motionclips and modified with animation layers, followed by a motioncapture, baked to motionclip and positioned with pivot object and then blendet with NLA to the other motionclips. At the end there is a ragdoll animation done with the ragdoll connectors and an invisible cage character to which the other character is connected via constraints. Bad collisions were fixed with another relative animation layer.

Thank you. Who has experience with Motionbuilder? I heard that it should be very easy to transfer mocap data on a rig via Motionbuilder. But I'm confused if it is nearly a one click solution or if you have to tweak of fix unwanted movements in Motionbuilder too. For example, most mocap files I have seen have a strange behaviour at the feet, they are slipping. So I think if you transfer such mocap in motionbuilder, the slipping would be transferred too?
