Academy of Realist Art: Good school?
Is the Academy of Realist Art a good school to go to? May I have honest opinions & testimonials from the former students here?

Hey kilpatrick,
As Rebeccak said, I'm going to ARA. I've never found an art school that emphasises the technique over expression except for ARA. They are only interested in making sure everyone who comes out of that school can draw. It is very stage oriented, meaning, you cannot procede onto the next stage until you've learnt the first one. It really is amazing to walk through the rooms and see everyone there producing incredible drawings and oil paintings. If you are still unsure, they do have a lifedrawing dvd for sale. I picked it up and think it's awesome. It goes hand in hand with the instruction they give you http://www.academyofrealistart.com/learntodrawvideo.asp __________________
