A general perspective of ZBrush

Hello guys! How are you?

A little bit of history (you can pass this part)
So, since 2006 I've played with 3D a few times. Firstly, my first contact with a modeling software was with 3DS Studio Max. Years passed and, in 2010, I was interested about 3D again. Then I downloaded the 3DS Studio Max again and I played one more week with the software.

In 2012, I downloaded Maya to play. I read several tutorials and guides and conceptually I was finally engaged with the 3D's world. Unfortunately, I'm a C# (software) developer and I need to make my money, then I left behind the 3D again.

Today
Today, in 2013, with a little bit of money and a huge programming knowledge, I'm starting a game studio and I really really need to learn 3D.

What I need to know:
  • 1. ZBrush is a software for characters modeling only?
  • 2. Where are the best place to learn ZBrush?
  • 3. To engage with the software, how long you guys took?

So, that's it. Thanks in advance.

See ya!

Certainly not. It's succesfully being used to make all sorts of creations from organic to hard surface models.

Have you checked out the many video tutorials of ZClassRoom over on ZBrush Central?

All depends on how fast a learner you are really. Everybody learns at different speeds.
