That's great. Bought the bitmap2 material but substance designer was a bit expensive for personal stuff, so for this very cool

Are there any other limitations other than the obvious non-commercial usage, and can this be upgraded later to the commercial version?

Haven't explored it much yet but seems the whole thing including bonus materials. Not sure about the upgrade path.

No other limitation.
And the NCU version is of course upgradeable to the commercial version.

Sounds great! Thanks a lot for the reply.
I have admittedly been reluctant to try Substance Designer so far, since I rarely find the time to really take an app for a test drive over a one-piece 30 day period. But this sounds like a great incentive, albeit coupled with an investment, to leisurely explore the app without limitations before committing to a commercially priced purchase.
