Is there a way to bake PFX?

I've got some growing tentacles that I've attatched to hair output curves and converted to polygons. I then combined them into one mesh with history to make them more manageable for selecting and stuff. For whatever reason, the paint effects crashes every machine in the farm upon loading, so I was wondering if there was a way to bake the PFX or something. Currently I made a script to duplicate the tentacles every frame, then keyframe their visibility on, which works with the render farm, but doesn't give me any motion blur because instead of having one moving object, I have 200 static ones. Any ideas?

You should specify which Software this is for when asking.

I'm guessing that PaintEffects refers to Maya?

Woops, my bad that's where I meant to post it. I'm going to repost there, so if there is a mod or somebody who can delete this, that would be awesome. Thanks!
