Carmine Falcone - John Doman portrait study

Well it's been a real long time since posting on CGSociety. Actually, I started a company and have been running that for 7 years working on a variety of projects. I'll say, it's busy!. It's taken a long time to find a work life balance that works for me. Personal work has always been an important part of my life, but finishing art has been sadly not the norm! It's about time to change all that. I'm working on several proejcts and very excited to be able to call one complete.

After watching Gotham and being so impressed with the casting, I created John Domans character Carmine Falcone.

The sculpt was done over a period of about a week, working in the evenings. The render is all zbrush passes and composited in photoshop. The zbrush renderer is a bizarre animal, underated but also awkward. A lot of hidden features and limitations but possible of great quality.
