TP Playground: Grid Noise

Hey Guys,

I just uploaded a video on vimeo where i show a Thinking Particles setup i built. In this setup, the particles are only allowed to change their direction in 90° angles. The user interface has several options to manipulate the particles. A download link to the scenefile is in the video description.

Very cool. Wanna share your scene file that has that background and textures (based on the screenshot you posted with the original link)?

Hey, would it be possible to set this up so that a Plain Effector could define regions in which the particles could move freely vs. regions where they move at right angles?
That would be cool.

I realize TP and MoGraph are different systems, but...

Should be no big deal. I would jsut use a sphere (instead of an effector) and kick all particles that are inside of the sphere in a new particle group which is not affected by the system. And when they are not inside the sphere anymore, they switch back to the affected group.

Cheers
