Quote: True the internet is pretty toxic at large, but I gotta agree with the guy that the gaming scene gets seriously dark. If you feel like ruining your day head over to youtube/a gaming forum and check out the comment section of anything related to gamergate (or even just women in gaming) and you'll find literally hundreds of posts threatening to rape and/or murder gaming devs.

Why do folks do these threats? Like seriously. It is disgusting and horrible. At the same time I'm not to sure I'm all that afraid of some nerd in his mother's basement who weighs 100 lbs or 500 lbs and can't walk threatening me. I wouldn't say I'd have much problem sleeping.

Gamers aren't wrong to be angry about cut content or major graphics changes from the initial trailers and demos

Still, they don't understand what goes on behind the scenes during development and the gut-wrenching decisions the team has to make. No one likes seeing something they worked hard on get cut from the final. Nothing is ever perfect, it's just good enough to ship. Any developer could continue to make something better, but it's at their own expense.

It's really easy for gamers forget the horrible crunch time and extended hours devs can put into their game

Hey, let`s hunt down the person who we think is responsible for the bad animations in a game. Then threathen him/her with sexual abuse and murder.
We think we have any right to do this. Because it`s BAD ANIMATION. IN A COMPUTERGAME!
