Auberge With A Full Moon, Jean-benoit Lachance (3D)

Title: Auberge With A Full Moon
Name: Jean-benoit Lachance
Country: Canada
Software: 3dsmax 6, Vray, Photoshop 7, Combustion 3

This is my main scene of next animation... All action will be done here in this old house... My depth of field was made by vray and the moon put in with Photoshop...

Thumbs up

I love it! Very nice toon-style!! But i think there should be more stars, and they shoudn't be so clustered together. But a very nice picture, and I can't wait to see the animation (If you plan to post it)...

Great! It's a really nice style you've got going on there.. If I were to critique on something I'd say that the top of the chimney seems to be a bit too squared, compared to the rest of the image.. And also I think the stars could look better if you just changed the light intensity on some of them.. If you look up at night you can see that each star is glowing with different intensity. Because they're all at different distances from the earth
Love the style though! Would really like to see that animation!

Thumbs up

I really like how you have made it look like a miniature, the only thing you may want to change is the moon ( it seem as if you would see it in a relflection on water, but if thats the effect you want, youve got it) The roof seems a little flat, you may want to add a bump or displacement map to it, just to add a little more detail, and the final thing is that i think you should add a few more trees in the mid distance, or maybe a few farm fences to break up the hills in the background.

Wow.

I LOVE this style!

I agree about the roof being a little flat.

And the hill on the far right seems to fall off too sharply.

Can you post a wire?

Thanks.
