Need Help with Green Screen Composite Test

Hello All.

I am a cinematographer from Northern Cali.

I am shooting some video for compositing and the objective of this video is to animate real socks dancing on a white background.

I was intending to shoot green screen and have green sticks animating the socks... after a couple test shoots the sticks aren't being keyed out all the way.

Any suggestions for accomplishing this?

Key a matte just for the sticks, then subtract it from the matte of the socks. Or you could just roto the sticks out.

Breaking up your key into different sections will help.(One for the background, one for the left stick, one for the right, etc...) If all else fails, there's roto.
