Displacement Map Issues

Hi guys,

I'm running across an issue here with the displacement map that I've extracted from Mudbox. I applied it as a bump in the miss fast skin shader. And I am getting these weird patterns as shown here:

I tried changing the bump attributes setting it as Bump, Tangent Space Normal and Object Space Normal. Also played around with the filters. Yet no fix :(

Anyone ran across this problem? Please help

the displacement problem looks like stepping due to 8-bit textures. You probably have a very low-contrast 8-bit displacement so you have to increase the contrast and that creates the cliffs you see there. Make a 16-bit or 32-bit displacement with a full range from black to white and it will be gone.

The normal map looks like you didn't set the search distance correctly when creating the map.
