I guess I could add to this...

What I liked - the pixologic booth was awesome and I learned a lot from their booth. Lots of good information to be learned from them. V-Ray had a very good day of presentations too that filled a good days worth...

What I didn't like - there was no 3d max or autodesk booth around. I felt kinda lost without really having a home base to go to. I would watch all the other reindeer play but poor Rudolph was an outcast to it with no real place to call home..

No Maya and Max booth...but Maya Assets

True ADSK did not have a booth, but everyone knows who they are, and they still reach out to their community via Autodesk University, and through sponsored SIGGRAPH events and papers.

I did notice that the Ontario board of trade and technology had some cool companies present:
Arc Productions and RenderLife were both back this year. BTW, if you're in the market for production assets, RenderLife is still running their $25 credit promotion.

Cool redbyte.. Hey man I really liked your architectural video you shown on blender think it was Sunday there at Siggrpah. Very inspiring stuff! Your website had actually got me looking into blender and learning more about it over this past year.
