Hard crash Maya 2013
I upgraded my RAM to 8 GB from OWC last month. Things got real snappy, and I was one happy chappy.
Over the past several days, however, Maya has been dragging its heels and behaving in strange little ways, particularly it seems, around switching viewports. Last night during such a maneuver, my MBP crashed in a really ugly way, with all sorts of bizarre screen artifacts.
Besides the memory upgrade, the only thing I'm doing differently is using Viewport 2.
I've checked the hard drive (ok), and am currently running a Rember test on the memory.
Has anyone else encountered anything like this? I'm running a mid-2010 MBP, OSX 10.7.5, with the aforementioned 8 GB of RAM. I should mention that I'm down to about 13 GB available on my 320 GB HD.
All help, pointers to obvious oversights, anything is appreciated!
