Wow Sebastian,

amazing stuff!

I was wondering what is the policy of using Cryengine for movie or video?
What kind of license one needs? I"ve asked them some time ago and got answer: TBD.

Thanks for examples, please tell us more,
Great work!

I've been waiting for the answer since, what, early 2010?

Anyway Valve beat them to the punch for Machinima fan with Soure Filmaker. Good for such styled rendering (which is of course what machinima fan are used to, and probably, expect).

Rumors has it that its pretty expensive, which is quite strange since CryEngine was free with royalty! (unlike $99 + royalty (minus first $50K) for UDK). But looking at CryEngine web where they show the realtime ingame movement based on real time motion capture, it really made for big studios.

@Sebastian Andor:

Hehehe... Indeed it is this discussion again.

Is it "Raining Fire" yet?

Hi Sebastian,

It's free for non commercial work, but what about the commercial work?
I can't seem to find the thread.
Great stuff. Thanks for posting.

Thank you

Thumbs up Nice work

I think I am impressed with his work. He was transperent about his work, so in my opinion we
(newbies) should get inspired by his work but not by his methodology. In short I am concered about "what he did..rather than how he did" coz his work was awesome.

BUT at the end of the day I know its Professionals and Experts who should conclude this...

Thanks
