Exploring Lost City., Simon Davies. (2D)

Title: Exploring Lost City.
Name: Simon Davies.
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Photoshop

Hi all,

This is an concept image I did just for practice.

It started off as a spaceship, but then changed to a submersible exploring underwater.
I used Photoshop 7.

I'd appreciate any critique on the design/ colouring/lighting etc.

Thumbs up Very khewl!

Interesting stone formations!

Underwater? Hmmh, if you haven't said it's under water I'd rather say its some kind of lava cave . . . Maybe have a look at unterwater photographs

But anyway, nice work indeed!

Cheers, Daniel

Yes, I thought it was a subterranean cave instead of the underwater variety. It could use some fade-outs for the background. Underwater scenes always look dark and blurry in the far distance. The ship look awkwardly cartoonish against the more surrealistically detailed surroundings.

the brightness in the middle is killing the depth from corners... you can improvise that part... otherwise it is a great job
