Tentacle Face

I last posted here probably about 10 years ago. The general advice I got at that time was that I needed to spend more time working on my art and get general improvement, so I took that to heart. At this point I feel like I have improved enough to start posting here again.

This piece is probably about 80% completed. I have gotten irl critique that I need to more clearly indicate that the reflection is a reflection instead of a lower jaw, so I plan on darkening the reflection. The sort of narrative I was going for here- I have partially green hair and was driving down the highway with my windows down, and my hair felt like some sort of tentacle monster attacking my face. This image popped into my head and voila. I am concerned that my monitor is not well calibrated- some of my images seem too dark on tablets and another computer.

I must confess to being a little nervous about this critique, but I really want your honesty. Thank you!
