parenting without changing position

hi, the question here is all related to 2D composite only.
i have an object animated with transform node and i want another object parented to it while keeping the original position, is there any way to do it? (or writing an expression is the only solution?)
seems this question is very basic but i just can't find the answer myself
anyway, thanks!

Are there other parameters you want linked, and just not the position, like rotation or something? You can alt+click any parameter and drag it over to another node to link them. So in this case, you could just alt+click rotation parameter only, and drag it over to your 2nd transform node, position will stay the same and only rotation will be linked.

Or, you could add another transform node above your animated one. And link those values over to your second object, postion will keep the original position, before it was animated.
