R14 - Fresnel Gradient Differences

Hi,

can some please explain this gradient differences:


on the left side is screenshot from Help in R14, on the right is screenshot from material I tried to create. Linear Workflow is checked in my Project settings, but I think it's not the reason for this differences. Why are gradients so different, and does this affect regularity of Fresnel effect?

Hm, it seems that the image in the help shows the standard (non-physical) gradient.
The one you're getting is the correct one.

Well, if you have time, please take a look at this video on MaxonC4d channel on Youtube:

Tip99 Physical Fresnel in Cinema 4D R13

Same thing, he check Physical button, and he get exactly the same gradient as it's in the Help file.
