Mecha arm rig... impossible?
I'm new on cgsociety, and as a presentation I'd like to show you my problem.
I'm learning to rig, and I'm in challange with this stupid arm rig since two months.
So, I don't know if it is so difficult or if I loose something, but I need to control my 3 bones arm with both IK and FK.
The concept is easy, C only rotates on his Y axis, A and B on their Z... the problem is that B and C pivot are not aligned.
Incredibly the best solution I found is using INTERACTIVE IK (yes, the very old one...).
Another solution is an HD solver, but with this method I can only use IK.
I've also tried CAT and Biped for an easy switch between IK and FK, but I didn't solve the problem of not aligned B and C pivot.
So, I'm quite disappointed at the moment, and I'd like to know if maybe anyone have a solution or a wonderful idea...
