Scene Assembly and Skinning

Hello,

I'm playing with the new Scene Assembly work flow, and wonder if anyone has given a shot to skinning Assembly References to a skeleton? I've tried, and I keep getting failures.

An example of how I envision using this in my work would be having one character defined with motion, however having the torso of the character reference different types of armor that have different skin weights. This would allow me to animate once, then randomize specific details on referenced models in a crowd [in theory.]

It would stand to reason that Maya has the horsepower to load skin weights from different Assembly Definitions, and apply them to a rig, however it doesn't seem to be working.

Appreciate any feedback on this you all have!
