poly / tri count spreadsheet?

Hey,

Is there anything in Maya 2013 that will display a list of the objects in the scene and their poly/tri counts?

I'm looking for something similar to the Attribute Spread Sheet. (this would be perfect but it doesn't display the poly count anywhere)
I'm aware of the poly count HUD element but this doesn't allow me to compare multiple objects against each other.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Not sure about spread sheet. You can try polyEvaluate to print out the counts in script editor. Although it won't be nicely formatted.
Code:
import maya.cmds as cmds selections = cmds.ls(sl=True) for s in selections: cmds.select(s, r=True) print s, cmds.polyEvaluate(vertex=True, triangle=True, face=True) cmds.select(selections)

You can remove the vertex=... argument and leave only what you want to know.

you can go through Display > Heads up display > polycount to see total or selected object's or selected components count.

... don't suppose there is a way for it to print the results into a text window or something though is there?
It works as it is and is totally useable, but it'd just be a bit nicer to not have the script editor open all the time.

thanks again.
