Animated Boolean Problem
I know booleans are horrible, but i couldn’t see another way to achieve what I wanted…
I have a Maya Ocean. There is a tiny boat swimming through it. But the water is inside the boat. So I decided to make a boolean hole in the ocean plane with a sphere. I parentet the sphere to my boat and everything worked great in the Viewport. But when I batchrender, the hole is not moving constantly.
This is how it looks in the Viewport:
This is the batch rendered preview:
Disregard the size of the hole… just testing.
Do you know the reason? Or maybe another way to make the water inside the boat invisible?
I´m still beginner, but i always try to be very critic, even if i couldnt do it better. And this is how i want you to treat me too.

If you dont want to see the water inside the boat don't try to use booleans, that is a buggy thing in maya and inappropriate for this task (i think). Try some render tricks. Render your ocean and boat seperately. Then do some shadow passes for the boat. Finally composite them in your favourite composition package.
