Animating an extrude mesh animating the curve?

Basically is what the title says. I animated a CV curve and now i need to extrude a cilinder along that curve. First of all, i extrude the face of the cilinder and end with this:

As you can see, the end of the cilinder and the begining are kinda mixed up.
Now, the other problem i have is that is that if i move the time slider, the cilinder doesnīt move along with the curve.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Fixed the first problem, i placed the cilinder on the other side of the curve.

Could always use this method:

Also if the extrude goes that way at first you can reverse curve direction to correct.

Sorry but i donīt understand a couple of things on that tutorial.
"Duplicate the V curves and hide the extruded surface.
Select the curves and Loft them."
What are the V curves?
Besides, i allready animated the CV curve, is that animation useless? I have to do the animation again but with the mesh allready extruded?
EDIT: Ok, seems that the reason the mesh didnīt move with the curve was because i had the option "construction history off".
The mesh moves with the curve now, except the original cilinder, that stays on the same place, streching the rest of the mesh that moves. Any way to correct this? I mean, make the original cilinder move with the CVs of the curve.

Another quick fix for this would've been reversing the curve direction, but you figured out another workaround anyways...
