Texture Axis Tool

Hey Guys,

I do a fair bit of product modelling and something always confuses me :(

I have a routine I follow;
I drop my package image (which is usually supplied to me as flat artwork) onto my model.
I set 'flat' projection then 'tags' - 'fit to image'. This seems to me to be the only way to ensure the projection is proportional to the original image.

Problem is, once I've set the projection to flat and turned off 'tile', while in 'Use texture axis mode', the axis of my texture jumps away from the center of the image making scaling precisely difficult! I thought it might be something to do with the zero point in the photoshop image but it seems to make no difference...

Can anyone see if i'm doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance and I hope the mail wasn't too confusing...!

You will then probably be helped by texiX and especially texiDRIVER
as they cover those issues.

Check my sign and go to xfiles.

Cheers
Lennart
