Projecting texture based on grid

I'm trying to figure out how I can combine After Effects with 3ds Max in a good way. It would be cool if I could render out a non-textured animation, and then add textures in After Effects.

I don't know if this is possible, my first thought was to render out a grid, and then project the texture based on the grid. Is this possible? If not, does anyone have any idea on how this can be done?

I've attached an example, here I have a page that is turning. What I want to do is to replace the back/front of the page with an image in After Effects. The image is a gif, so if you click on it you can see the animation
