meta clouds

i am testing out Vue. i am tinking about buying it for creating background matte paintings.

i am trying to use meta clouds and Vue's manual is very bad. i have some questions.

-how can i convert imported shape models into meta clouds. its easier for me to create the shape of the clouds with spheres in max
-how can i select spheres from meta clouds in the viewport. i can only select spheres inside meta clouds in the layer list. i can not find a way to select two spheres that are together and move them to change the shape of the cloud
-openexr. hdri rendering. they are saying that they have hdri renders. but everything looks strange. its not saving out 1.0. it looks washed out.

I'm still pretty new to Vue myself (using 11 Complete), but I think to create a could from an imported model all you need to do is apply a cloud material to the selected object.

If you've created a metacloud from a group of spheres, you can select the entire group at once from the viewport. I think to select a single sphere in the group you'll need to do that from the list by expanding the object with + button.

Not sure about the HDRI render. Haven't gotten that far yet.
