rendering wireframes with depth of field?

hi
i have a scene that is only visible for wireframes. i would like to give some depth of field to lines on the background but i dont know how to take this information as a pass.

could you help me about this?

Just render a Z-depth pass and do it in post with a filter like Lenscare or Photoshop's Lens Blur, which can use an alpha channel or layer as a mask.
