Slow Batch Render in MAX

iam working on a project where the batch render could save a lot of time. So i set up the scene, and when i start to render i realized that in batch mode the render is much slower than the normal way. This is also true with scanline and mental ray too. I checked the in the task manager and i found out that somewhy the batch render uses only one core (i7).
I was searching for a solution to make use all the cores but nothing I found for 3ds max 2012, 64 bit (neither other versions). I found that in Maya there is an option for that, but not in Max.
May anybody has a solution? Thanx
