Diffuse Transfer Maps coming out black
Hi everyone,
I'm getting no where when it comes to transfer maps. I've got a model with some complex layered shaders. I wanted to combine these into one texture, which I believe you can do using transfer maps. As a test I duplicated the object and added it as the target mesh in the Transfer map menu. I then added the original mesh as the source. I choose diffuse as my map and select a PNG. I also had it so that it applied it to the shader already assigned to the target mesh. Maya seems to do something as it has a progress bar. It does create a new texture and assigns it to the colour slot of the targer mesh. But it's black. I've tried adding lights to the scene (although I can't see why I'd need to). I've also tried it with just a simple sphere but I always get the same result. I can get the normal map and AO to work but just not the diffuse. Anyone have any ideas? Peter |
