Vertextutor is proud to present the 1st volume of a series of training regarding Automotive Visualization entitled Automotive Visualization in Cinema 4D Vol. 1.
This training will be focusing on a studio type of environment and the type of lighting necessary to proper lit a car. Because cars are typically high reflective “objects” with curvy and soft surfaces, special attention must be used on how to make it look appealing.

The model we’ll be focusing our attention on is a Ferrari 458 Italia graciously provided by Evermotion. I can’t provide the model with the scene files due to an agreement with Evermotion but you can follow the training, either by purchasing this exact model or with another car model making the necessary adaptions. I’ll be providing the scene with cameras, light rigs and materials but without the car model.
This training was produced using Cinema 4D R14 Studio and we’ll using the Physical Renderer but the techniques can be ported to older versions (and future versions) using the Standard Renderer.
The videos were recorded in Full HD format (1920×1080), encoded to MP4 and compressed in RAR format because it can generate smaller files than the ZIP format.
