[SOLVED] 3Ds max CAT - disconnect the bones during animation.


I build a human CAT RIG (for a mech/android model) with the ability to disconnect the bones during animation (thigh, upper arm, etc.). For the animation of disassembly or death.

I tried play with Hierarchy -> Inherits check-boxes through Script Controller and animation Boolean curve. It works, but in use this approach was not convenient and stable.

Have you ideas how this can be realized more elegance?

Try using 2 constraints on to the parent and the other totally out of the parental hierarchy, switching the constraints will do the trick to do the collapse animation.

Link constraints not work properly via 3ds max main menu -> Animation - Constrains - Link Constrains. But Link controller assigned manually in a properly layer and couples changes in LinkInfo tab solves the problem.
