Good advanced texturing tutorials?

Hey all -

Looking for some good resources on texturing. I know Gnomon has some good in depth texturing and hypershade tutorials, but if anyone else can point me to others that would be great.

My texturing skills are basic and I don't get too in depth with the hypershade when creating materials...and I want to improve on this to make my textures more realistic.

Thanks in advance

There are 2 things you need to separate, although closely relate: Texture painting and material set up.

If you're looking for character skin texture painting, the best resource I found was this tutorial. This one uses MARI, but the instructor knows so much about human skin, his knowledge is valuable no matter what software you use.

As for material set up, it depends on the render engine you use. You'll find plenty of V-ray and Mental Ray tutorials on the web.

Texturing is a HUGE area of learning, it may be worth asking some more specific questions like "does anyone know a tutorial for making good leather" or whatever, so people can direct you to more specific tutorials.
