stock realflow?

Does anyone know of any stock realflow libraries? Basically a bunch of canned scenes I can maybe modify here and there?

An upcoming project could call for A LOT of realflow sims and I dont know if I'll have time to do everything from scratch and some pre set sims could really help out.

If there isn't, that sounds like an awesome idea for a decently marketable idea. A dvd, or three, of "stock footage" like or simple basic element sims might be a worthwhile thing.

The thing about FX though. Scale and context mean *everything*!
Water pouring out of a kitchen tap will NOT plug-and-play to a cliff dropping waterfall and visa versa.
Rarely you are lucky. The rest of the time is a tweak-fest to get a match.

without a doubt, but in my experience there's basically a few ranges of sizes, a glass of water falling over scaled to an actual mass of 10 gallons still works pretty good even though the glass would be roughly the size of a trash can

Obviously smoke elements are a thing that are used EXTENSIVELY at all levels of production, and the same issues of scale apply to them as well. I get your point but the magic is in the comp. One time the gentleman next to me got a lesson from a genius senior artist. There was a window element and a garden hose blue screen element, and via the magic of frame incrementing and screening on layers he showed us how to make this deluge like flood coming out of the window. I think he ended the demo with a, "and now you have to do a few hours of roto!" but it was really amazing to see the thing come together in about 2 minutes. Major U.S. FX-driven TV quality circa '08.

I doubt one would get rich off of such a thing, but I imagine having a bunch of sims lying around would find some utility somewhere. Motion graphics people, if for no one else.

I would also love to see a collection of 'stock/base' realflow scenes or particle bin files.

When you load .bin sequences in with the binLoader or something like the powerful thinkbox 'Stoke' plugin you have a lot of options to tweak, change and alter an existing simulation.
