3ds Max to Mudbox

Hey, I want to export my 3ds Max model to Mudbox to texture it. I'm new to 3ds Max and used Cinema 4D before, there I had to do some UV Mapping as far as i remember.
I exported it as an .obj file and imported it to Mudbox, this is how it looks like when i draw on it: http://i.imgur.com/AypuAwh.png
And this is how it looks like in 3ds Max with the modifier "UVW Unwrap": http://i.imgur.com/XLy8pKF.png
I guess it has something to do with the green lines, similar to Cinema 4D but I have no idea what to do.

Thanks!

You haven't actually done any UV unwrapping by the looks of it, just applied the modifier. The modifier doesn't do anything automatically, it just enables you to edit the UVs. Open the edit window and unwrap the UVs however you wish. Planar mapping from the side would be a good start, but there's LOTs of options for how to go about it. Look up the UVUnwrap modifier in the help and tutorials.
