Transfer weight to deformation ?

Hi,
I want a plane effector to transform weight to Random Effector with point deformation.
I hope the question is clear.

How can i do this ?

Thanks

use the weight transformation attribute in your plain effector to drive the random effector. I did a french tutorial some times ago for this question on our forum, with the concept to drive audio effector with inheritance effector by this way.

Hope this video will be helpfull for you or you can check this file : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/46934146/weight.zip

vimeo video ( in french ) : https://vimeo.com/38013422

oups ! I miss the "deformation point" information : hmmm, I have to test something else because ther's no clone but maybe with the iteration node..

Really looking forward to what others have to say about this one, but I don't think you can do this.

What you could do though, is add a Vertex Map to your Polygonal Object, and a Restriction Tag to your Random Effector,
so you can control the Random Effector with the Vertex Map.
And with a little bit of Xpresso you can set up the Plain Effector to control the Vertex Map.

Yader pretty much sets it all up for you on http://vimeo.com/26568353.
Make sure to check the update in the description text below the video !!

Let me know if you still need some help after that.

cheers,
d
