Mudbox Displacement Map Artifact Problem

Hi All.

Im hoping someone on this wonderful forum has had, or seen this issue before inside mudbox.

I created a terrain following Wendas tutorials on Youtube, and all went well.

So I was going to use his technique for a current project but every time I export a displacement map, I get strange artifacts that obviously mess's up the heightmap.

Has anyone seen this issue before?

Cheers

i assume you are using a plane with 100% uv space...
mudbox dont like that... try to bake onto the mudbox plane...

He means your UVs go all the way out to the borders of the UV space.
Mudbox doesn't like that and needs at least 4-6 pixels of space around the UV shells and between the 0-1 UV space borders, or it can and will create artifacts.
Basically, your UV space is a square with the coordinates of 0 to 1 on both the U and the V "sides". Make it so your object's UVs themselves are at least 4-6 pixels inside this square and you shouldn't have problems.

Unfortunately at the moment I can't create and upload an image to illustrate this better, so I hope you understand.
