Ah, if it's glass embedded in the steps, then doing some kind of visible reflection would definitely help them not look like simply holes. Diffused reflection will definitely make more sense since it'd be a bad idea to have glossy glass reflecting lights as a person is walking on the stairs.

The plane looks pretty good. The propellers look a bit skewed on the right.

There's a lot of flat dark gray in the background, and then tends to flatten the spatial depth of the scene. I suggest indicating some simple subtle highlights and shadows back there (just enough to indicate forms, and not enough to distract) so it appears there's stuff in the back, not just a flat value.

Is there another work-light on the left side of that air-intake (being blocked so we can't see it)? Right now, assuming there's only that one work-light on the right of the air intake, its illumination is reaching a bit too far all the way to the plane's body, and the air intake isn't casting a shadow (that's why I asked if there's another light on the other side).
