CAT Rig - Moving ankle Pops bone

Hi,

I started creating a rig for my character and I only have a pelvis and one leg. I'm trying to move the ankle to the right place but everytime I start moving it, the lower leg bone pops out and is unaligned. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Seem like the max 2012 product update 12 bug. If so, uninstall it and stay with update 10.

There is def a bug in 2012 and 2013 Max relating to the initial state of CAT rig. product updates in 2013 fixed it, but i'm not sure about 2012.

You can manually address the issue by creating an absolute animation layer and selecting the various ankle/lower leg bones, create a key frame, then in the curve editor make sure the rotation track is zero'd out on all axis.

Cheers.

I only have max 2012.

Also, the idea of correcting it in the curve editor sounded nice but I would still have the problem at the Edit mode where I skin the character.

Solved!

I think I found a fix.

The problem I was getting happened when I would create a pelvis and create a leg from the pelvis. I tried using the preset "Base Human" and now I can move the ankle without the problem.
