Green Screen Question

Has anyone ever tried to use a green or blue fabric to sub as a screen.. if so did it come out ok, also are DV cams ok to use on green screens or is quality so-so??

The cloth should work ok as long as its properly lit (lighted?). From what I've heard, the compression in DV cameras causes artifacts between the forground objects and the bluescreen that makes it difficult to pull a matte.

If you use Shake, than go there

and get the DVBLUR 2.0 macro...

It did miracles for me when keying in DV.

Hope it helps....

Sounds like an helicopter underwater.

Here is a good explanation about issues with bluescreen/greenscreen with dv:

Luckily many chroma keyers are now adding features with dv in mind so they automate many tricks like the above mentioned ones in order to get around the problems DV have with blue/greenscreen work.
