Hard edges in render only

Hard edges in render only

Hello people.

I'm rendering a face that has a normal specular and texture map exported from zbrush. The low-poly cage was retopo'd in Topogun. In the viewport the model appears as following.

In the render it appears as following.

I tried Soften normals, Average normals, smoothing etc. The hard edges are there. What is the problem?

Can you post up an image of your normalmap?,looks like the hard edge is baked into your normals.

No they aren't...apparently the problem just exists there without any sane explanation.

I resolved it the "whatever" way. I exported the mesh into an obj (so it wouldn't keep any other info other than UV) and I reimported it, connected the textures and all is fine!
