Could use some lighting help on this.

I'm working on a Cathedral kind of area but somehow i can't get the lighting i want. And actually i don't know what lighting would be the best for my scene.
So my question is can anybody tell me what kind of light setup would give the best result for such a scene.
The area is a round hall. There is one small window which would be the number one lightsource.

Can anybody please help me on my way to a decent lightsetup.
This is one of my renders whit one of the best lighting results. Used one pointlight in the room and lumination of 30% on the white walls with radiosity turned on.

thanx in advance.

well, the first thing you should do is look for some reference imagery.

i did a quick google image search on inside cathedral and this is what i came up with:

find an interior space that strikes a chord with you and try and mimic it as best you can with lighting...heck, just use a jpeg of any of those images you might like as your light source.

check out my quick and dirty tutorial on the subject @ my site if you need some help.
I love hacks that work well enough for the eye!!
