Multipass rendering - Color pass?

How do I get what Maya calls a "Color" pass out of C4D? (see attached screenshot found here:

C4D's "Material Color" and "Image Diffuse" multipass layers seem to be the closest, but they both appear to have shading applied. I just want the pure color pass.

Hmmmm... weird.

Some of my materials have the Diffusion property turned on in the material editor. Might that be it? I can't get a clean Material Color pass if something is loaded into Diffusion?

You are right in that the Diffuse channel is shown
in the Material Color Pass.
Pass it as a bug repport to Maxon please.

(You might use the global Ambient Occlussion if possible meanwhile)
