How do I Texture, Shade, Light and render Tank M1 Abrams for a realistic look

Hello, I modeled this tank but now I want to make it look realistic. Right now it is looking too clean, how do I add wear and tear and also realistic lighting. I am using Maya 2017 and Mudbox 2018.

Thank you in advance.

I want my tank to havethis kind of look:

Clean up the UVs in Maya, send to Mudbox, paint it up, then export the maps as file textures back into Maya.

I would use life like texture.
Use a combination of projection painting in your layers.
Have Layer 1, projection texture 1 from textures.com
Then Layer 2.. use a different texture and patch it.
so on and so forth.
