Question Reset Vray Setup Dialog

Win 7
3dsmax 2012
Vray 2.20.02

There is probably an easy answer to this but I just can't see the wood for the trees.

Put simply, is there a way to completely reset ALL the settings for Vray, ie the 'Render Setup' dialog, via maxscript?

I say 'ALL' as changing the production renderer to another, (and back to Vray), does reset some of the settings but the 'Common' and 'Render Elements' tabs appear to be unaffected.

To be honest I'm struggling to do this period, let alone via maxscript, save from uninstalling and re-installing Vray.....and even that's not guaranteed.

Seems a simple task and yet I cannot find any reference to a reset anywhere.

Both of these tabs have nothing to do with V-Ray, that's why resetting V-Ray has no effect.

As the name suggests, 'common' is common to all renderers. You can reset it only by manually setting all the values, or by resetting the entire scene.

The render elements, you can just delete all the elements from the render element manager programmatically.

Thanks lo.

Makes perfect sense when you put it like that.

When you think about it, it's a shame there's no ResetCommonRenderParameters() built-in function, but it shouldn't be too hard to write.
