Scene Explorer Automatically?

Is there a way to make a Scene Explorer always appear when MAX2014 starts?

I have saved a Scene Explorer but each time MAX starts, I must go to Manage Scene Explorers and re-load my saved SE each time.

Thanks!

Have you tried setting your Scene Explorer Configuration as the Default from the Manage Scene Explorer Dialog?

If you have and it doesn't work you may need to create a startup script using the SceneExplorerManager Interface to auto load the configuration file you want.

Thanks for the ideas Eric!

I had set my SE to be the default. As far as I can tell, what this does is when a new SE is created, it is created in the proper place & size which matches my saved SE. But it creates a new SE each time it is used. When MAX is restarted, no SE is listed as saved in the Saved SE list so I have to either create a new SE or use the SE Manager dialog to reload my saved SE.

Ideally, I would want my SE to appear when MAX is started. Second best would be to be listed in the Saved Scene Explorers list so I could easily select it (like the Track Views are saved). Not sure why the developers made it not show previously saved SEs in the list when MAX is started.

May have to look into the scripting method.

Thanks again.
